Did you know that strokes kill the third-largest number of people in the UK, after cancer and heart attacks? Nor did I, until I worked on this campaign. This led my art director, John Foster, and I to write the line ‘Strokes are Britain’s third biggest killer, stop them becoming number one’. Unfortunately, the ads that were eventually used eschewed the use of this line. But I still like this ad (one of a series) for the way it manages to show the plight of a stroke sufferer, but combines it with a strong call to action.
