I was asked by John Stuart, non-executive chairman of ICP, a company that implements advertising production, to write a film to be shown at a fund raising dinner to be held at the home of the Swiss ambassador. Mike Chajkin, a business director at ICP, put me in touch with Alex Kemp, a director at Connected Pictures. In collaboration with Alex (who I can’t recommend too highly) I produced this film. When we first showed the film to the charity’s committee, they broke out into spontaneous applause, the first time this has ever happened to me in my long life of writing films. The charity aimed to raise £75,000. In the event, the film raised £150,000.
